  1. Basic Tenets of Trauma informed care: Safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment
  2. Worker Skills to support TIC: Self-regulation, Strengths based language, and Active listening/OARS.

  • Learn to incorporate the basic tenets of trauma-informed care- -safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment into your interactions with the public.
  • Expand practices to engage clients with empathy and understanding
  • Strengthen your skills to acknowledge your own needs and limits in challenging scenarios
