This FREE event will provide attendees an overview of Oregon’s “Rent Well Program” which is a series of no-cost tenant/renter education classes, and outline opportunities for community-based organizations to bring the Rent Well program to their area, and how to become registered Rent Well instructors. This event is sponsored by the Oregon Employment & Training Association (OETA).

Registered attendees will receive two emails prior to the event including the Zoom link.

Who Should Attend

Anyone providing social and human services throughout the State of Oregon, especially those working with low-income and housing insecure individuals, or those working with people who are facing barriers to accessible, affordable, and stable housing. Social workers; case managers; educators; career coaches; workforce advisors; housing advocates; community organizers; peer support specialists/mentors; parole officers; and those working in similar roles are encouraged to attend!

About the Oregon Employment & Training Association (OETA): For over 30 years, OETA has provided Oregon’s workforce and social service professionals with high-quality training, networking, and career development opportunities, including resources for continuing education units/credits. About Rent Well

Rent Well participants learn about tenant rights and responsibilities; how to understand and complete legal documents; self-advocacy and communication skills; and how to overcome barriers in the rental application/screening process. Those who successfully complete Rent Well will receive a Certificate of Completion, to present to potential property managers during the rental application process. Rent Well is designed for Oregonians who are currently or formerly unhoused, or are of low-to-moderate income. Click here to learn more!
