Oregon Employment and Training Association

Dear OregonETA Members, Supporters and Friends:

The last couple of years have brought a lot of change to our lives, both professionally and personally and it became clear that we needed to focus on what is next for OregonETA.

For many years now, the board has discussed so many ideas, directions we truly wanted to head, and dreams of our future growth. Unfortunately we faced challenges that kept us from growing into who we wanted to become. We believe that future is now.

OregonETA would like to officially announce that Oregon Workforce Partnership will be taking the lead in recreating what will be the new OregonETA. We have been working closely with Oregon Workforce Partnership and they share the values and vision of OregonETA past and present.

The Oregon Workforce Partnership is comprised of over 200 community leaders who represent business, education, workforce, and elected officials from Oregon’s nine Local Workforce Development Boards. They provide leadership that promotes and advances Oregon’s workforce system to ensure all Oregonians possess the talent needed for communities to thrive and prosper. I am excited to see OregonETA reach its full potential with the solid leadership of Oregon Workforce Partnership.

This is a bittersweet transition for the OregonETA board and although it has been a lot of hard work, it has been the experience of a lifetime. OregonETA will remain in our hearts forever. DeeDee’s future includes hugging her kids more tightly and traveling. Tammie has retired and is enjoying her days with grandkids and golf, and Teresa although retired (will never fully retire) is working part time as a VRC and will be remaining on as a consultant with Oregon Workforce Partnership.

We will never forget the training and Rendezvous locations all over Oregon, but even more unforgettable are the memories - friendships, fun, and long-term partnerships we created together. OregonETA will continue to be the go-to training association in Oregon for CRC’s, CWDP’s and recognizing Oregon’s outstanding Workforce Professionals.

We are so grateful to welcome Oregon Workforce Partnership to our Workforce Professional community.
