Who is a Workforce Development Professional?

Workforce Development Professionals

  • have a professional and career goal of helping to build America's Workforce.
  • facilitate the process by which individuals identify, prepare for, obtain and maintain employment and self-sufficiency.
  • may or may not work directly with the customer.

Why Join OregonETA?

☆ A Commitment to Advancement of Knowledge. This means both minimum standards of education and experience, and the necessity of continuing education in the profession.

☆ Sharing Best Practices

☆ Responsibility to the Profession and the Client. The professional has a high degree of investment in the profession - beyond the demands of a daily job.

☆ Share a Common Bond Based on Abilities and Commitment. A profession is not just a fraternal club, but also a society of common concerns.

☆ Public Recognition as a Profession. Professional recognition and prestige often follow from the other conditions.
